We are seeking a Strategic Trade Manager, to contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners.

About the Role

The Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the largest event ever held in Queensland and provides a global opportunity to promote the State as an export partner, investment destination, and a great place to live, study and work.

The Trade and Investment Strategy 2022-2032 will help facilitate and promote trade and investment opportunities for the benefit of all Queenslanders, in the lead up to and post the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

  • Develop, manage and implement the program of activities relating to all engagement opportunities that form part of the Trade Plan.
  • Manage program governance, tracking benefit realisation, communications and marketing including program success measurement, risk and issue management.
  • Work in partnership with project managers to ensure each project's objectives and targets are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Trade Plan activation program, working in partnership with individual project managers to design, deliver and manage related trade and investment events and initiatives.
  • Develop a program governance structure to enable effective management of program delivery against individual project plans and schedules.
  • Design and implement a program reporting platform to capture regular individual project status reports on key milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage program resources, procurement, expenses and costs against the program forecasts.
