Head of Programmatic Job Description

At Australian Radio Network, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Programmatic to lead our digital advertising efforts. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving the development and execution of programmatic advertising across all digital platforms.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive programmatic strategy that aligns with our broader business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate programmatic initiatives and performance metrics, ensuring clear insight into revenue contribution and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with agency and client programmatic trading teams, developing client-level strategies to unlock revenue opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing programmatic team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Work closely with sales, product, data, and operations teams to ensure programmatic is embedded into every aspect of our digital business.
  • Establish and promote programmatic best practices across the organization, ensuring high standards in areas like targeting, optimization, and measurement.
  • Leverage first-party data, audience insights, and advanced analytics to inform strategic initiatives.
About You:
  • 8+ years of experience in digital advertising, with at least 4 years in a programmatic leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through programmatic channels.
  • Experience with digital audio, radio, or streaming media is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities, inspiring and empowering the programmatic team to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Capable of developing long-term strategies that align programmatic with the company's overall growth trajectory.
  • Identifies opportunities in a rapidly changing market and translates them into actionable initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in developing data-driven approaches to programmatic buying and optimization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate programmatic strategies and performance metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
