Lead Orthodontic Dentist Position

Job Description:

As a senior orthodontic dentist, you will provide clinical leadership and promote patient safety and quality in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. You will deliver contemporary comprehensive specialist orthodontic dental services throughout the hospital for optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality orthodontic treatment to patients.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior registrars and dental officer staff.
  • Engage in research and supervision within the department.

Selection Criteria:

  • Possess current registration with the Dental Board of Australia as an Orthodontic Dentist Specialist.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in Orthodontics through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
  • Have high-level interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, experience in quality assurance activities, and evidence-based best practice.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teaching and supervision, as well as familiarity with research concepts.

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
  • Working with Children Check issued by the Office of Communities Commission for Children and Young People.
