As a Sustainability and Safety Lead, you will play a key role in promoting sustainability and safety throughout our organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies, managing SHE incidents, leading SHE training programs, coordinating emergency responses, ensuring permit and certification compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, conducting regulatory audits, and preparing and submitting required reports.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Safety Strategies to minimize operational impacts on the environment and foster a healthy environment for employees.
  • Manage SHE Incidents and near misses, developing corrective and preventive action plans to mitigate future risks.
  • Lead SHE Training Programs to ensure the team is informed, prepared, and aligned with best practices.
  • Coordinate Emergency Responses as the primary contact for site emergencies, including spills, fires, or injuries.
  • Ensure Permit and Certification Compliance required for site operations, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
  • Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives in areas like personal safety, process safety, health, and environmental protection.
  • Perform Regulatory Audits to ensure full compliance with local, regional, and global standards.
  • Prepare and Submit Required Reports to regulatory agencies in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in SHE and/or quality management, specifically within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Process Safety Management, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health practices.
  • Strong interest in chemical processes and a passion for safety and quality.
  • Solid knowledge of local and regional regulations governing safety, health, and the environment.
  • Holds all necessary government licenses.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of guiding teams.
