About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home and Garden Maintenance Officer to join our team at Right at Home. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality home garden and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain and repair equipment, fixtures, and fittings to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our clients.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning gutters, and repairing latches and locks.
  • Gardening and Landscaping
    • Mow lawns, trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
    • Prune and trim bushes, hedges, and trees to maintain a safe and visually appealing environment.
    • Pressure clean paths and walkways to minimize the risk of slipping and falling.
  • Client Safety and Well-being
    • Ensure that all tasks are undertaken to maintain a safe environment for our clients.
    • Identify and report any potential hazards or risks to the client's safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Certifications
    • Certificate in Brush cutter operations.
    • Certificate in Chainsaw operations.
    • Certificate in Treating & Controlling weeds.
    • Certificate in Working Safely at Heights.
    • Any relevant trade or horticulture qualification.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Self-motivated, accountable, professional, and reliable.
    • Committed to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Flexible and resourceful approach to problem solving and decision making.
    • Ability to remain calm in challenging or stressful situations.
