Job Description:

We are seeking an Auxiliary Firefighter to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.

About the Role:

The Auxiliary Firefighter will be responsible for responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities, developing and maintaining competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by QFES, and contributing to incident reporting and general station administration as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness
  • Develop and maintain competencies
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
