Driving Instructor Opportunity

We're seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Driving Instructor. As a key member of our driving program, you'll play a vital role in helping young people achieve their driver's license.

About the Role
  • You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by teaching them essential road skills and building their confidence behind the wheel.
  • You'll work closely with a supportive team to deliver a high-quality driving program that meets the needs of our participants.
  • You'll be responsible for coaching and mentoring young people through their driving lessons, providing guidance and feedback to help them improve their skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor young people through their driving lessons, focusing on their development and growth.
  • Liaise with transport authorities, local instructors, and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Manage lesson bookings and schedules to ensure participants stay motivated and progressing.
  • Build strong relationships with community groups, schools, and local stakeholders to promote the program and its benefits.
  • Engage with young people one-on-one and in group settings, building trust and connection to support their learning journey.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with participants, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • A current Drivers' licence (held for minimum 4 years - includes provisional time served).
  • A Current Working with children check.
  • A First Aid Certificate (able to obtain within first three months).
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
