Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Architect

Job Summary: This position is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of networking technologies, network security, and architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design High-Level Architecture: Design high-level architecture for network systems including cloud-based networks to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
  • Develop Network Topology: Develop and document network topology, configuration, and security standards to ensure alignment with architecture plans.
  • Evaluate and Implement Solutions: Evaluate and implement solutions for scalability, security, and performance improvements in network systems.
  • Configure Network Devices: Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices in alignment with architecture plans.
  • Ensure Business Continuity: Ensure that network solutions support business continuity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement Network Security: Implement and monitor network security solutions to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Develop Network Policies: Develop network policies and procedures to ensure secure access to network resources.
  • Monitor Network Performance: Monitor network performance to identify issues and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Troubleshoot Network Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including outages and degradations.
  • Maintain Network Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configuration settings, and network management policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in a previous Network Architect role, preferably within Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Cloud Environment: Experience working in a cloud environment.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to articulate business implications and risks in relation to the business.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain concepts.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as a team with decisions made to support moving toward common goals.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications, tertiary qualifications in Networking or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
