Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at the Department of Education, Western Australia. The successful candidate will provide psychological services and evidence-based assessments and interventions in learning and disability, mental health and wellbeing, positive behaviour and risk and incident management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement school psychology services and programs in an educational environment to maximise student learning outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers and school leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with school leadership and Student Services teams to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to students, including individual and group work.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and mental health.
Requirements
  • Hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting employment.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
