Job Title: Leading Hand / Hydraulic Technician / Mechanical Fitter

Fleet Hydraulics, a leading provider of hydraulic services in Geraldton, is seeking a skilled and experienced Leading Hand / Hydraulic Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join their team.

About the Role:

This is a full-time permanent position that offers excellent working conditions and a competitive remuneration package. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of hydraulic/mechanical fitters and staff, as well as undertaking a diverse range of duties including:

  • Manufacturing, installing, and commissioning hydraulic mobile equipment and systems
  • Onsite troubleshooting
  • Customer liaison
  • Sales, including gensets, engines, and winches, quoting and ordering parts
  • Working to high quality standards and in a safe manner
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade certificate
  • Minimum 2-3 years post-trade experience
  • A current driver's licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in team leadership and a strong work ethic
  • Computer skills and extensive site and workshop-based hydraulic service experience
  • Understanding of OHS & Safe Work Practices

Fleet Hydraulics is a WA-owned company with over 30 years of experience in the hydraulic industry. We specialize in the marine sector, providing sales, servicing, and repairs to a wide range of vessels. We also work closely with boat builders in the hydraulic design, supply of components, and fitting out of new build vessels.

We are an authorized Yanmar Marine Dealer, selling and servicing Yanmar Engines, Mase Gensets, and Isuzu Gensets. Our services include supplying and servicing hydraulic parts, hoses, and fittings, as well as a range of filters, lubricants, and other engine consumables.
