About the Role:
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Grade 3 Dietitian to join the Food Services Team at Northern Health. As an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, you will work under the direction of the Grade 4 Dietitian and Associate Director of Allied Health Dietetics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food and fluid provision at Northern Health is safe and meets the nutritional and cultural needs of the patient group. This involves liaising with key stakeholders, including Northern Health's Food Service Provider, Environmental Services, and Speech Pathology.
In this ongoing part-time role (32 hours per fortnight), you will assist with the development, implementation, and review of food service policies, procedures, standards, education, and practice. Your services will be provided at the highest clinical standard and delivered in a cost-effective and efficient manner in accordance with the strategic direction of Northern Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of food service policies and procedures
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure safe and culturally appropriate food provision
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Provide education and support to staff on nutrition and food service practices
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of food service standards and protocols
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years clinical experience in adult nutrition therapy
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- High-level negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
