Protect and Support Our Rural Community

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our multi-disciplinary care team as a Health and Security Assistant.

As a Health and Security Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and order across our facilities. You will be the frontline in protecting our community's health and wellbeing in a supportive rural setting.

Key responsibilities include providing general assistance in wards, portering patients within the facility/campus, undertaking cleaning duties and security duties as required under the direction of clinical staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess current NSW Security licence (Class 1A minimum) and the ability to maintain the security licence and current Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) First Aid Certificate. You will also need to have experience working and communicating with people, having a friendly and respectful approach to people from all backgrounds.

In addition, you will require physical capacity to perform the duties of the position including lifting and transferring patients. Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and aggression management is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team and be able and willing to work to a 24 hour, 7 day roster. You will also need to have evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain it.
