Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our facilities management team in Sydney. As a frontline technical expert, you will ensure our client's facilities run smoothly and efficiently.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on daily operations while growing technical expertise with a global leader in real estate services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment alongside the site engineering manager.
  • Perform minor repairs and replacements (light tubes, door locks, keyboard drawers).
  • Respond promptly to equipment alarms and help desk work orders.
  • Organize and supervise maintenance vendors when needed.
  • Monitor equipment rooms and facilities using predefined checklists.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs.
  • Update inventory of consumables and spare parts.
  • Support minor renovation projects and office fit-outs.
  • Respond to user-reported defects promptly.
  • Communicate repair status to facility users.
  • Work closely with building management and security teams.
  • Attend site on weekends/after hours as required (typically one Saturday per month).
Requirements:
  • Diploma in building services engineering, mechanical & electrical, or related discipline.
  • Valid electrical license (essential).
  • 3+ years of experience in facility-related technical services.
  • Basic handyman skills.
  • Fundamental computer proficiency.
  • Clear communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
