Home Care Domestic Support Worker

At Uniting AgeWell, we are committed to supporting older people to experience a sense of wellbeing, choice, and independence in their lives. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Domestic Support Worker to join our team in Knox City.
This role involves providing domestic assistance, social support, and transportation services to clients in their homes. You will be responsible for ensuring clients' living environments are clean, tidy, and safe, and that their physical, emotional, and behavioural needs are met.
As a Home Care Domestic Support Worker, you will be part of a team that values kindness, respect, integrity, innovation, and inclusion. You will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Assisting clients with activities that contribute to a clean, tidy, and safe living environment
- Observing clients' physical, emotional, and behavioural status, and reporting any observations or concerns
- Ensuring clients' clothing and personal belongings are kept safe and well-maintained
- Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with clients and their relatives
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a home care setting or in providing domestic support (desirable)
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence
- A registered, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them
- Knowledge of community care and a commitment to maintaining high standards for clients and their families
- An understanding of client-centered care
- The ability to thrive in a team environment while also valuing one-on-one interactions
