Your Key Responsibilities

  • Inform market strategies using your understanding of our customers' value drivers and our products' value in use.
  • Maintain compliance with regional regulatory, maritime safety, and sustainability requirements to ensure continued market access.
  • Identify and monitor emerging quality trends with customers and competitors to enhance our operational decision-making.
  • Manage quality assurance processes to meet our contractual obligations and optimize product sales.
  • Support ongoing improvements in the quality assurance chain from operations to customers.
  • Leverage sustainability knowledge to influence pricing strategies and market access for various commodities.
  • Engage with marketing by integrating sustainability into risk management and providing updates on sustainability practices.

Accountabilities

  • Deeply understand sustainability strategy and collaborate with value chain partners to reduce risks and optimize decisions.
  • Record and address sustainability requests from value chain partners.
  • Stay informed on emerging sustainability trends to inform business decisions, including LOOPs and sustainability disclosures.
  • Strengthen commercial relationships through effective sustainability engagement and support.
  • Assist in executing marketing sustainability commitments and reporting disclosures.

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in Geoscience, Mining, Metallurgy, Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in relevant operational roles within the mining, raw material processing, or oil and gas industries.

Technical Skills

  • Strong economic analysis and evaluation skills to support decision-making.
  • Familiarity with product safety regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with experience managing datasets and maintaining models.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking, accountability, credibility, and communication.
  • Collaboration skills with a strong inclusive mindset, effectively engaging with diverse perspectives.
