Electrical Project Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of a major de-watering and aquifer recharge initiative.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to work on a high-profile project and develop their skills in engineering management, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee electrical design deliverables to ensure quality and compliance
  • Develop procurement strategy and packages for switchrooms, MCCs, HV and LV equipment
  • Monitor and ensure equipment fabrication meets schedule, quality, and standards
  • Provide electrical engineering support throughout construction and commissioning
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer on large-scale mining or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of HV and LV electrical equipment, switchrooms, and MCCs
  • Experience in engineering management and quality assurance for design deliverables
  • Knowledge of procurement strategies and vendor management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to travel to site regularly as required

This role offers a Monday to Friday roster and requires regular travel to site. The successful candidate will be based in Perth and will work closely with the project team to ensure the delivery of high-quality electrical engineering services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HV and LV electrical equipment, switchrooms, and MCCs, as well as experience in engineering management and quality assurance for design deliverables.

They will be able to develop procurement strategies and packages for switchrooms, MCCs, HV and LV equipment, and monitor and ensure equipment fabrication meets schedule, quality, and standards.

The Electrical Project Engineer will also provide electrical engineering support throughout construction and commissioning, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.

The Electrical Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for managing the electrical engineering design and supporting the project through construction and commissioning phases.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to travel to site regularly as required.
