Job Description:

The role of Care Support Specialist is to provide exceptional care and support to seniors in the community. As a compassionate and dedicated individual, you will play a vital part in enhancing the lives of those served.

This role involves assisting elderly residents with everyday activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Additionally, you will help with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition.

It is essential to keep a close eye on residents' health and report any changes. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe environment where residents feel at ease and cared for.

Fostering positive relationships with residents, their families, and your fellow team members is crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Hands-on Care: Assist elderly residents with everyday activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support Mobility & Transfers: Help with positioning and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Meal Support: Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition.
  • Monitor Well-being: Keep a close eye on residents' health and report any changes.
  • Create a Safe Environment: Contribute to maintaining a space where residents feel at ease and cared for.
  • Build Meaningful Connections: Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and your fellow team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Disability.
  • Ideally, 3+ months of experience in Aged Care.
  • 2024/2025 Influenza Vaccine Record.
  • Australian Police Check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to get one).
  • Full working rights in Australia (no sponsorships offered).
