
Senior Mental Health Investigator

Delivering Exceptional Outcomes in Coroners Prevention is a key challenge facing professionals in the mental health sector.
The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team within the Coroners Prevention Unit (CPU) to strengthen the prevention role of Coroners and provide expert advisory and investigative case management support on mental health and disability related deaths, reviewing clinical evidence and information to identify contributing and remediable factors.
This involves working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver priorities, as well as providing specialist advisory and investigative case management support on mental health and disability related deaths, reviewing clinical evidence and information to identify contributing and remediable factors.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and clinical experience in mental health services and systems in Victoria, advanced case management and investigative skills, and a relevant clinical mental health related qualification and current APHRA or AASW registration.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Providing specialist advisory and investigative case management support on mental health and disability related deaths
- Reviewing clinical evidence and information to identify contributing and remediable factors
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver priorities
To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- A thorough understanding and clinical experience in mental health services and systems in Victoria
- Advanced case management and investigative skills
- Relevant clinical mental health related qualification and current APHRA or AASW registration
