We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal condition and functionality of our vehicles.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience working on heavy goods vehicles.
  • Fully qualified HGV technician (City and Guilds or NVQ).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Own tools.
  • HGV license is desirable.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Service HGV vehicles according to manufacturer's instructions, with a focus on timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections, adjusting and replacing parts as needed, including brake linings, fluids, and other wear-and-tear items.
  • Identify and address any unusual wear or issues, communicating effectively with customers about additional work required.
  • Reset maintenance systems as necessary.
  • Clean and maintain customer vehicles to a high standard.
  • Perform repair work, including simple fixes like muffler or mirror replacements.
  • Collaborate with technicians to complete more complex repairs, such as major part replacements or suspension strut installations.
  • Install and set up accessories and removable parts.
