Job Description

The role of the Classroom Teacher at St Francis Catholic College exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. This permanent full-time position will commence on August 26, 2024, and requires the successful applicant to teach Mathematics.

Essential Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Mathematics.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/caregivers, and the wider school community.
Desirable Selection Criteria
  • The ability to teach Religious Education.
  • The ability to teach Mathematics (Stage 6) and/or Mathematics Standard 2.
General Capabilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching the nominated Key Learning Area(s).
  • Level B Accreditation following the To Work, Teach, and Lead policy or a commitment to gain Level B within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required before your employment with CEDoW.
