The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Physician to join our ICU Unit at JPS Medical.
The ICU Unit
Our 12-bed unit offers comprehensive care, with a Level 5 general adult medical/surgical ICU providing routine treatments, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, vasopressors/inotropes, renal replacement therapy, and plasmapheresis. We occasionally admit children on a case-by-case basis, managed jointly with paediatricians. Our unit is accredited for 6 months of general training by the CICM, ensuring high-quality education and development opportunities.
The Facility
JPS Medical is a regional rural referral hospital serving the Northwest area of NSW. Following a $260 Million redevelopment, we now have 348 treatment spaces and conduct over 9,000 surgical procedures each year across 5 theatres. Our O&G unit averages over 1000 births per year, with a Level 3 nursery and an 8-theatre operating complex.
The Requirements
- Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Possess at least 12 months recent experience at a Consultant level in ICU
- Hold or be eligible for the FCICM
- Be on CICM training program
- IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
- IMG's with CICM interview date
- IMG's assessed by CICM and found to be partially or substantially comparable
Estimated Salary: $300,000 - $450,000 per annum
