Midwifery Role

The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Birth Centre is seeking a skilled Midwife to join its team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing holistic midwifery care to women and their families during pregnancy, labour and birth, and postnatal period.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing antenatal care from 14 weeks booking in visit, intrapartum care in the Birth Centre or Delivery Unit, and postnatal care up to 14 days post birth.
  • Working across the full scope of midwifery practice, including provision of postnatal care in the home, requiring a current and valid driver's license.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to achieve an intervention-free birth, demonstrating commitment to these principles at interview.

Requirements:

  • Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care and NSW Health Core Values.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) is highly preferable.
  • The ability to participate in a seven-day roster.
