Midwife Career

We are seeking skilled and compassionate midwives to join our team. The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Birth Centre provides holistic care for women during pregnancy, labour and birth, and postnatal period.
Our midwives work in a collaborative model, caring for 450 low to moderate risk pregnant women each year. They provide antenatal care from the initial visit at 14 weeks, intrapartum care in the Birth Centre or Delivery Unit, through to postnatal care for mothers and babies up to 14 days post birth.
The ideal candidate will be committed to providing person-centred care and working towards an intervention-free birth. A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and a demonstrated commitment to NSW Health Core Values are essential requirements.
- A commitment to working with women to achieve an intervention free birth is crucial
- Demonstrated ability to participate in a seven-day roster
- A current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
