This role offers novice nursing assistants and students the chance to gain valuable experience in a supportive team environment.

The Transitional Aged Care Program is a community-based 12-week rehabilitation and support program for individuals in their own homes.

Nursing assistants provide practical and social support, as well as health monitoring, under the supervision of registered nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Practical support for care recipients
  • Assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Meal preparation and assistance with feeding
  • Support with mobility and transfers
Requirements:
  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent (or currently working towards)
  • Relevant nursing student experience in aged care, home care, or acute/subacute care
  • Organized, reliable, and accountable for work within scope of practice
  • Ability to perform confidently without direct supervision
