About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT Services team in a permanent position. The successful candidate will report to the IT Manager, Infrastructure and Operations.

This role involves designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions that support our business objectives. The Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Designing and deploying network architectures, including switching, routing, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Implementing load balancing technologies, such as Citrix NetScaler, F5 BIG-IP, and NGINX.
  • Managing on-premises infrastructure, encompassing VMWare, hosts, SANs, and security/reliability updates.
  • Administering Microsoft Azure, O365, and Exchange environments.
  • Maintaining Windows Servers, including AD, DHCP, DNS, IIS, Group Policy, and Security Permissions.
  • Planning and executing backup and disaster recovery strategies, leveraging Veeam solutions.
  • Providing technical support for SQL databases.
  • Utilizing identity access management platforms, including AD, Entra, and OKTA.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and provide technical assistance.
  • Enhancing system monitoring capabilities and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar technical role with a broad range of expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of network configuration, including VLANs, Stacking, Spanning-Tree, and Aggregation.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies, such as Citrix NetScaler, F5 BIG-IP, and NGINX.
  • Proficiency in VMWare, including ESXi 8, VCenter, and Distributed Switch.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, including AD, DHCP, DNS, IIS, Group Policy, and Security Permissions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Exchange (hybrid), and O365 administration and support.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with identity access management technologies, preferably OKTA.
  • Understanding of backup technologies, preferably Veeam.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting technologies, preferably PRTG.
