Leading a team of engineers requires strategic vision, technical expertise and exceptional leadership skills.

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to modernize our legacy systems, implement new technologies and build scalable solutions for the future.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, experience in scaling engineering organizations and a proven ability to drive change initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute an engineering roadmap that balances transformation with operational stability.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to ensure technology investments align with strategic goals.
  • Champion a pragmatic approach that balances short-term needs with long-term modernization.
Leadership and Strategy
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the engineering organization's capabilities and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
  • Make informed decisions that balance business needs with technical requirements.
Team Development
  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineering managers and software developers.
  • Establish clear goals, accountability and career development pathways.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership and continuous learning.
Technology and Process
  • Introduce and scale modern development practices such as CI/CD, cloud adoption and automated testing.
  • Guide decisions on re-platforming, system integration and technical debt reduction.
  • Stay informed on emerging tools and approaches that can accelerate digital transformation.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading modernization efforts while maintaining critical business operations.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in enterprise-scale platforms, integration patterns and cloud architectures.

Requirements include sitting at a computer, standing, walking and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Close visual acuity is also required.
