Senior Legal Expert, Regulatory Strategy and Advisory

Job Opportunity:
Senior Legal Expert, Regulatory Strategy and AdvisoryThis role is part of a global team responsible for identifying and addressing regulatory issues affecting operations in Asia and Pacific. As a Senior Legal Expert, you will be the primary legal resource on regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise business stakeholders on regulatory strategy and risk, including strategic initiatives and new business line development.
- Manage compliance responsibilities and consult with external parties as necessary.
- Serve as a key contact and negotiator with regulatory bodies in APAC.
- Defend and settle regulatory actions or other related matters involving regulated businesses.
- Law degree and qualified to practice law in Australia.
- At least 8 years of financial services or securities law experience in Australia or other APAC jurisdiction.
- Compliance/regulatory experience is required.
- Substantive familiarity with ASIC requirements is necessary.
