Job Opportunity

This is a key leadership role that plays a crucial part in ensuring the effective management of natural resources.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning team and regional project teams to ensure ongoing effective service delivery and business improvement.
  • Coordinate, represent, and lead departmental input into Environmental Impact Assessments and development assessment to consider impacts on natural resources.
  • Contribute to and review land use reports under the Land Act 1994 to inform allocation of State land.
  • Contribute to policy review and development for current and emerging environmental issues, with an emphasis on planning and development assessment.
  • Advise and liaise with industry stakeholders, internal project teams, and government agencies regarding the management of natural resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of government agendas and initiatives and awareness of local, regional, and state-wide trends.
  • Possess high-level project management skills and deliver project milestones in an environment of competing demands and limited resources.
  • Prepare submissions and briefs relating to complex natural resource management issues.
