Job Title: Chief Health and Safety Officer
This is a senior leadership position responsible for developing and implementing health and safety strategies across major infrastructure projects.
About the Role:
- Develop, implement and monitor health and safety strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead and support health and safety teams across regions to promote continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
- Manage regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and operational teams to influence safety outcomes and drive cultural change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diploma or higher-level qualification in Work Health and Safety (e.g., Diploma of WHS or equivalent).
- Tier 1 experience with strong site-based HSE experience.
- ICAM certification and solid knowledge of QHSE processes and relevant Australian WHS legislation.
- Proven commitment to compliance with OH&S legislation and best practices.
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's License with ability to travel to sites as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years' WHS experience within construction, heavy infrastructure, or heavy mining.
