Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and/or support environmental approvals for the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors, covering Commonwealth, State, and local jurisdictions as applicable.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in supporting decarbonization efforts and helping drive forward the development of large scale renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and/or support environmental approvals for various projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary professionals from multiple offices around the world.
  • Develop technical skills, project experience, and general consulting and decision-making skills.
  • Contribute to proposal development, including the creation of technical scopes and cost estimates in accordance with our policies and processes.
  • Direct and monitor project management activities related to projects, including task delegation and direction, subcontractor management, health & safety protocol management, monitoring of commercial performance, quality review of deliverables, and interaction with clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the infrastructure and/or energy industry, including environmental approvals/permitting and/or management. Consulting industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with and understanding of the environmental/planning approvals process applicable to QLD projects, including knowledge of affiliated regulator guidance.
  • Strong knowledge of project management and experience working as part of an integrated team.
  • Critical thinking skills, able to synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful outcomes.
  • Excellent report writing, data collation, and management/presentation skills.
