Our mine in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales employs approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves performing inspections and maintenance duties in the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting routine and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance
  • Completing allocated preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as assigned to guarantee safety and efficiency
  • Providing a timely response to maintenance issues to meet targets and maintain productivity
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including production and safety improvements to enhance overall performance
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in CHPP or other heavy industry settings with a focus on maintenance and repair
  • Effective communication skills to share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work well under pressure to achieve goals
  • Industry-relevant qualifications, such as High Risk licenses, and computer literacy, preferably with an understanding of SAP systems
  • Experience supervising and/or planning projects to drive success and growth

You should also possess strong technical knowledge, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a proven commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
