Heavy Industry Maintenance Specialist

As a Mechanical Maintainer, you will be part of a positive safety culture with a focus on continual learning at our open pit operation. We rely on draglines and load haul systems as the current and preferred mining method.
The site operates 24/7, employing approximately 1350 people from local and surrounding communities. As a key member of our team, you will perform inspections and carry out maintenance duties in the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP).
Your responsibilities include conducting routine and breakdown maintenance activities, completing preventative maintenance tasks and inspections, providing timely responses to maintenance issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and stepping up into supervisor and/or planner roles.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will have:
- A formal Boilermaker trade qualification
- Proven CHPP or heavy industry experience
- Effective communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- Industry relevant qualifications
- Sound computer literacy
- Experience supervising and/or planning
