About the Role

This highly collaborative scientific position requires you to engage with Thought Leaders on a peer-to-peer level and contribute to strategic business plans in consultation with Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners.

  • Establish long-term scientific/strategic relationships with key physicians/scientists and related major diagnostic providers, medical associations, and academic centres of excellence.
  • Ensure Thought Leaders and organizations have access to relevant scientific information.

You will be responsible for the successful implementation of Medical Affairs Strategies at the field level.

Achieve mutually beneficial relationships with Thought Leaders in Ophthalmology.

Demonstrate awareness of our products and relevant diagnostic modalities through the dissemination and discussion of scientific and clinical data.

Identify, develop, and leverage the Australian network to accelerate and connect therapy for patients.

Answer medical/scientific queries of Medical Societies and HCPs regarding Bayer products in concert with the Medical Information team.

Contribute to the organization of advisory boards and medical educational events directed towards Medical Ophthalmology professionals.

Attend congresses and conventions to learn new scientific/clinical data and engage with Thought Leaders.

Gather competitive intelligence to inform brand strategy.

Plan and organize scientific training and education events/sessions with TLs within their specific therapeutic area or product.

Act as a point of contact for investigators, facilitating the interface with investigators and appropriate Bayer personnel responsible for approval, communication of study progress, and completion.

Provide assistance to Medical Advisors and Market Access by supporting presentations of new information to hospital formularies and reimbursement.

Support brand strategy by providing assistance to Marketing colleagues (field insights and education on scientific data).
