Industrial Operations Manager

About the Job

Seeking an experienced industrial operations manager to oversee production sites. The successful candidate will manage all resources, processes, and teams to ensure operational efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the operations workforce, facilities, and equipment.
  • Ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely production processes.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, stock management, and customer delivery performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), industrial costing, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, safety, environmental, and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with human resources on team management, recruitment, training, and performance development.
  • Represent the organization with authorities, insurers, unions, and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Approve purchase orders and coordinate with corporate departments on investments, materials, and equipment.
  • Travel within QLD and NSW as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven experience managing a manufacturing facility or industrial operation.
  • Ability to implement change, manage budgets, and drive team performance.
  • Technical degree and proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning systems (ERP).
  • High-level communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
