Job Title: MULTI-PURPOSE TRUCK DRIVER

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high level of service, support and maintenance in the operation of waste and resource recovery facilities.

  • Operate and maintain trucks in a safe and efficient manner to complete routine resource recovery tasks.
  • Work under limited direction, and in compliance with Environmental Protection Authority standards.
  • Take remedial action if necessary, to ensure compliance with EPA standards and licence conditions.
  • Provide administrative support including maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure the safety of people and assets to comply with duty of care expectations.
  • Report infringements of Council's policies or practices to senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Safely operate robotic arm trucks, street bin trucks and hook lift trucks to complete routine tasks.
  • Compliance: Work within Environmental Protection Authority standards and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate records and provide administrative support.
  • Safety: Ensure the safety of people and assets to meet duty of care expectations.

About This Role:

  • Full-time position: 76-hour fortnight.
  • Required experience and qualifications include Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card) and Class HR Driver Licence.
