Strategic Asset Manager Job

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in asset management and planning, supporting the strategic implementation and coordination of our asset management programs.

As a manager, you will lead a small team, providing direction and advice to other teams while being hands-on and involved in all stages of work development.

You will play a critical role in ensuring effective support for school asset management and achieving organisational goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate cross-division activities, including reporting, business planning, and stakeholder enquiries.
  • Oversee and facilitate the strategic implementation of division programs, including the second cycle of the Asset Management Reform program.
  • Develop business processes, communications collateral, and other documentation to support the delivery of key programs.
  • Plan and implement effective change management practices to ensure the successful rollout of new or changing programs.
  • Facilitate a joined-up case management approach for complex and cross-organisation issues.
  • Provide expert and informed advice to key internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister's Office and Executive team.
  • Act as a 'thought leader' for the organisation, helping shape policy creation and development.
  • Review and analyse key asset management issues to identify improvement opportunities and manage risks.
  • Support the design and implementation of business improvement opportunities and reforms.
  • Take a leadership role in developing a positive and collaborative work culture across the branch and broader organisation.
