Explosives Expert Role

We are seeking skilled Explosives Experts to join our team at a leading Blasting Services provider.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns to achieve daily loading and blasting objectives safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosives in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Operate ancillary equipment (stemming loader, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the entire blast team to meet daily operational targets.
Required Skills And Qualifications Include:
  • Previous Explosives Expert or Bench Hand equivalent experience in Coal or Quarries.
  • Standard 11 qualification or willingness to obtain it.
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in an open-cut mining environment.
  • RIIBLA201E - Support Shotfiring Operations (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • The ability to pass pre-employment checks including medicals and background checks.
