Teaching Opportunity at a Christian School

We are seeking a qualified Mandarin teacher to join our team at a well-established Christian school in the Western Suburbs. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Mandarin Chinese, with experience in teaching students from Years 8-10 and a strong background in Years 11-12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mandarin Chinese to students in Years 8-10, with a focus on developing their language skills and cultural understanding.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide professional support and advice on implementing adjustments for students with learning requirements.
  • Model Christian values and conduct in the classroom and beyond.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans for students, providing direct instruction and support.
  • Provide pastoral care to students and integrate technology into the learning environment.
  • Organize special provisions for exams and assessments, working closely with NESA as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current NESA accreditation and demonstrated regular church attendance, with participation in church activities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Outstanding time management and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • High-level software skills, including MS Office and the Google platform.
  • Ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and maintain data integrity.
