Teaching Opportunity at Western Suburbs Christian School

We are seeking a qualified Mandarin teacher to join our team at Western Suburbs Christian School. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for teaching Mandarin to students in Years 8-10 and have the opportunity to teach Years 11-12 with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Mandarin classes, ensuring students meet learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide professional support and advice on student learning needs.
  • Model Christian values and conduct in the workplace, providing a positive influence on students and staff.
  • Design and deliver individualized learning plans, providing direct instruction to students and small groups.
  • Provide pastoral care to students, integrating technology into teaching practices.
  • Organize special provisions for exams and assessments, liaising with NESA as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven teaching experience in Mandarin Chinese, with a strong subject matter expertise.
  • NESA accreditation and demonstrated regular church attendance, with participation in church activities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Outstanding time management and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google platform software.
  • Ability to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
