About Poker Room Professionals

We are seeking an experienced Poker Floorperson/Dealer to manage our poker room.

Job Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the Poker Room, ensuring game security and compliance with all procedures and policies.

  • Must adhere to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Resolve customer disputes as necessary.
  • Issue customer rewards as necessary.
  • Supervise Poker Dealers, as well as indirect supervision of all other Poker Shift Personnel.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all shift personnel.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • If selected for this position, employee must be willing and available to change shift, days off, and/or start time immediately upon effective date of employment/promotion.
  • Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is required.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is also required.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including but not limited to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to general public.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
