Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Officer to join our large high-performing team that values safety and takes pride in their work. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming, friendly, and safe environment for all employees, visitors, and patrons of The Star Gold Coast. Your role will involve conducting patrols of the property, reporting security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences, monitoring access into restricted areas, and providing information and assistance to patrons as required.

Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances when required
  • Document and report security-related incidents, accidents, and violations in accordance with internal protocols
  • Monitor access into restricted areas at The Star Gold Coast
Requirements
  • Current RSA, QLD Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations, including a Crowd Control module & Current Senior First Aid Certificate, including CPR module - essential
  • Previous experience in high-volume crowd control - highly regarded
  • A high standard of grooming with a professional appearance
  • Physically capable and have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster
