Job Description

As a Senior Estimator with us, your role will encompass:

  • Tender Evaluation & Development: Reviewing tender documents and developing comprehensive ground models to ensure accurate estimations.
  • Technical Methodologies and Solutions: Providing input on technical methodologies and developing tailored engineering solutions for geohazard challenges.
  • Client and Consultant Collaboration: Engaging with clients and consultants to understand project requirements and propose innovative solutions.
  • Cost and Program Estimation: Using in-house systems to compile quantities, estimate costs, and create detailed project programs.
  • Project Handover and Implementation: Leading the transition from estimation to operations during project initiation and supporting the preparation of project plans, including HSEQ protocols.

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather operational insights for continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Membership with Engineers Australia (preferred).
  • At least 7-10 years' experience in geohazard mitigation, ground engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, tunnelling techniques, ground anchors, and slope stabilisation.
  • Expertise in reviewing technical drawings and specifications to compile accurate tenders.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • A proactive approach to mentoring, management, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The estimated salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
