Early Childhood Educator

The Royal Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Early Learning. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to our children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a developmentally based curriculum that meets the needs of children aged 0-5 years, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Contribute to the daily routines, including maximizing opportunities for learning, and supporting children to actively participate in the curriculum.
- Maintain positive communication with families, children, educators, and other hospital staff at all times.
- Respect children's rights, and engage them in shared decision-making.
- Advocate for the importance of high-quality early education in the community.
- A working understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the application of this document in practice.
- Demonstrated experience in assisting in the planning, implementation, and reflection of the curriculum cycle.
- A working understanding of the National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations 2011, and Code of Ethics.
- A demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with children and families, as well as an ability to work with families sensitively and in a culturally competent manner.
- The ability to work as part of a team, cooperatively and flexibly.
The Royal Children's Hospital Early Learning is a registered service for 159 equivalent full-time children between 6 weeks and 5 years of age. We are an 'Exceeding' accredited service, utilizing hospital and community resources within the City of Melbourne.
