This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary First Nations health team that specializes in teaching from a First Nations perspective, centring First Nations voices and ways of knowing.
You will be a key member of the Wurru Wurru Health Unit (WWHU) team, working alongside a passionate team of academics and professionals to develop and deliver culturally safe medical education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking focused curriculum mapping, design and development of the First Nations health theme in the early years (years 1 and 2) of the MD course.
- Leading curriculum co-ordination and implementation of the First Nations health theme in MD1 and 2.
- Collaborating with relevant year level leads and curriculum developers.
We're looking for individuals who are fast learners, collaborative team players, and self-starters with initiative.
You should bring a strong understanding of First Nations health, experience in curriculum design, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector, while upholding our values of respect, integrity, and collaboration.
You will also have:
- Registered health professional (AHPRA or equivalent), Education experience or currently training in the areas of health or education
- An ability to collaborate across a broad range of scientific and humanities education disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector.
