About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter Mechanic to join our Customer Service team at Energy Queensland. As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing customer connections, undertaking meter installations and upgrades, and completing electrical shock investigations and supply and voltage problem investigations for residential and business customers across our network.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Queensland Electrical Licencing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
  • Experience in completing meter changes and service replacements.
  • Availability for call out and emergency work.
  • Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
  • A current 'C' class open Drives Licence.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Authorisation as a Meter Re-Connection Officer and/or
  • Authorisation as an Electrical Connection Officer and/or
  • Authorisation as an Advanced Connection Officer.

You will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
