Protective Security Role Overview

This position involves the daily management of protective security functions, providing expert guidance and implementing security protocols to ensure seamless operations across multiple systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day security functions including pre-employment screening, clearance arrangements, and incident response.
  • Provide security advice to leadership and employees, helping them navigate risk mitigation, compliance, and incident resolution.
  • Lead a team in delivering efficient and effective security services, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with operational managers to identify risks and develop response plans for risk mitigation and security improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring security needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Requirements:
  • NV1 Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Government Security Frameworks, particularly the Protective Security Policy Framework.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions aligned with security priorities and policies.
  • Strong communication skills to provide high-level guidance on security matters.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
