We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our automotive content team. This is a mid-senior level role that requires a highly experienced journalist with a keen interest in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a high-performance team to deliver quality content on deadline.
  • Act as a content innovator, generating ideas for breaking, insight, and trending content.
  • Analyse audience and engagement data to inform content creation.
  • Create and deliver accurate and timely written, video, audio, and photographic content.
  • Provide clear, direct, and timely feedback to team members.
  • Implement cutting-edge search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies to maximise content visibility.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maximise content engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure all news content complies with legal and ethical regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in mainstream journalism with an interest in automotive.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and fact-checking skills.
  • Strong networking skills, internal and external.
  • Extensive experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and SEO best practices.
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full driver's license.
