We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and maintenance, with a focus on complex autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspection, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, and upgrade of AUV electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, conduct component- and subsystem-level tests, and collaborate with engineers and other trades to resolve complex issues.
  • Operate the Maintenance Management System (MMS), ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, and consumables consumption.
  • Execute system-level functional check-out at the conclusion of maintenance activities.
  • Conduct underway sea testing of AUVs leaving factory or maintenance environments.
  • Support development, review, and trial of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for AUV maintenance activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of risk assessments for maintenance and test operations, identifying and implementing mitigations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to design and manufacturing teams for ongoing evolution.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in maintenance of electrical systems or components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-tool skills.
  • Vocational training in electrical trades or associate degree ideal.
  • Maritime trade background is desirable as well as subsea experience or autonomous vehicle operation (any domain); particularly electric vehicles.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (wiring diagrams, work instructions, equipment schematics etc.).
  • Experience performing component, subsystem, and system level tests and diagnosing/escalating issues.
  • Exposure to operation of Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Maritime qualifications desirable, not essential.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance.
