About Illawarra Metallurgical Coal
We are a leading producer of premium quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking. Our operations include two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our Dendrobium Coal Processing Plant in Port Kembla. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for performance adjustments and maintenance repairs to support the achievement of our business plan.
You will work closely with the Team Leader Production to conduct audits, report non-conformances and ensure adherence to HSEC standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Plant inspection and monitoring of the coal preparation process
- Problem diagnosis and resolution
- Ordering spares utilising the SAP system
About You
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanic who has:
- Experience working in a process or manufacturing plant environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices
- Skilled in problem-solving and fault-finding
- SAP experience or similar maintenance management system
Qualifications required for this position include:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter)
- Forklift Licence
