Job Title: Care Companion

Our organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes.

The role involves traveling between customers' residences, assisting them with daily living activities, and providing person-centered care and support. Responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, traveling to medical appointments
  • Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
  • Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
  • Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care
  • Assist With Medications Certificate (HLTHPS006)
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
